National High Tech Crime Operations Manager Neil Gaughan Said part of ASSISTING Children and teens to stay safe and have fun online, is to Educate Parents, carers and teachers so They Are Better Informed about the internet and Understand What Are Their Children and teens doing online. In STI work to help prevent such crimes, the AFP encourages parents, teachers and carers to talk to their children about the internet and the risks that come with it, Assistant Commissioner Gaughan said. “Doing simple things, like having the family computer in the living room instead of in a child’s bedroom, will go a long way in helping create a safe experience.”
The minor has been charged with the following offences:
•Using a carriage service to access child pornography material, contrary to section 474.19 (a)(i) of the Criminal Code Act 1995 •Using a carriage service to make available child pornography material, contrary to section 474.19 (a)(iv) of the Criminal Code Act 1995,and CHTMLX
